This recession is unlike any other recession in the last 100 years, and the reason is simple – many are either afraid of dying themselves or passing this terrible disease to someone who could die. Consequently, consumer patterns are very different from other recessionary periods, and the consumer is terribly important to the well-doing of the overall economy. It is therefore more than likely that the economic recovery will be painfully slow.
On that note, at Absolute Return Partners, we allocate much time to identifying investment opportunities that are not dependent on the overall economy doing particularly well, and that is what the webinar on the 7th September will be all about.
